New beginnings

9th February 2017

Wow, where do I begin!

I have been horribly neglectful of my website (and I also find it incredibly difficult to write about myself, almost as hard as trying to come up with something intelligent to say at a gig to the audience, which is the reason why I come across like a rambling idiot best of times…) but I dare say, here comes the new me with actual news!

Let’s start with a little advert for my upcoming Musicians Yoga Workshop. Date is the 1st of April, 3-5pm, and I am super excited to tell you that the venue is the awesome Kali Collective Yoga Studio. More info and to book clickety click here.

So that’s me slowly coming out of the hibernation of maternity leave and getting back to work. Well not really a hibernation, seeing that I cannot even remember the last time I’ve had a full night’s sleep. For those who don’t know, my second daughter Una was born in August last year, and together with her sister Aila they have been keeping me busy with mommy duties. It is the most awesome imprisonment, having a small child. And although I yearn to be free it breaks my heart how quickly they grow.
And as if becoming a mother for the second time wasn’t enough, we decided to move our family out of Glasgow and into the little village of Lochwinnoch. And it is wonderful. I grew up near nature, there was a whole big forest literally on my backyard, and it is fantastic to be able to offer that to our children. And me. I get to run in the forest again, beats the shit out of running on tarmac!
So the next month or two I shall spend setting up shop here. My head is chock full of ideas and plans, hopes, dreams and desires. The future is open. I do believe that we create our own happiness, and that is what I’m going to do. I have a beautiful family, lovely house (and the view from my window, OMG!!!), and now it is time to sing, write songs, do yoga and laugh and laugh and laugh!

I’m turning into a rambling idiot so I’ll stop.

Thanks for reading, have a listen to my music and feel free to get in touch.

Namaste doo-wop!
